Beef and bean stew
As salaamu alay kum sisters,
7 (I used 7) to 9 big chucks of beef with bone (I also added a medium size bone for extra flavour that's optional though)
10 measuring cups of water
3 cups of chopped onions
black pepper to taste and salt to taste as well
4 to 5 tbls of vegetable oil (or to coat the bottom of the pot)
1 680 ml can of plain tomato sauce
1 1/2 759 g bags of frozen vegetables (wax beans, green beans and baby carrots)
Put the 4 to 5 tbls of vegetable oil in a large soup pot get it hot then put the onions and meat in till browned up keep the lid on while stirring in between.
When browned up add the rest of the ingredients except for the salt (that goes in at the very end of the cooking). Stir altogether well and bring to a boil then put on medium low for 3 1/2 hours. Stir about every half hour. I served it with rice with some fried vermicelli noodles or eating it all by it self is great well.
I had a picture of when I added everything together before it started boiling but it didn't turn out good. The soup must have went down it water level about 1/3 of the way. If you like it more thick add less water maybe 8 cups..

It was a little to oily I said 4 to 5 tbls of oil (I guessed I didn't measure it out) but I would say just use about 2 or 3.
