salaam

My dh is going to have guests next week Inshallah. Any one can help me with easy , and quick menus for the day ? Like a meat dish, really quick to make, I do not fancy staying long in the kitchen and as you know, I am a hopeless cook :hehe: and this time, obviously, the guests will not be cooking for me :hehe:

thank you wub

salaam

I would suggest a roasted chicken with potatoes or chips, with a nice salad on the side,
or a roast beef with green beans,
this is easy, good and not time consuming...
may Allah make it easy for you, amin

Assalamou aleikoum wa rahmatoullah wa barakatou

oh, barakallahu feekee.
sorry for being late to answer.
That is a good idea.:101:
Roast beef is out of my skills :hehe:
but chicken I can manage Alhamdullilah with roast potatoes. As a matter of fact , I make nice roast potatoes mashallah.
Bisous

I am going to check if we have some roast chicken recipes here because I never do roast chicken, we use to buy it from the halal rotisserie, they are much nicer than mine. The roast chicken i make is too dry.
Anyway, since the credit crunch, lol, no more roast chicken from the shop :hehe: :daisies2:

salaam sister,
my husband makes an excellent roast chicken,
first he burns lightly the skin with his "chalumo"(sorry but I don't know how it's called in english...)
then he washes it and rubbs the chicken with salt and pepper,he also puts some garlic cloives in the legs, when he puts it in the oven he puts a bit of butter, oil and water, sometimes halfway through the cooking he adds water, this make a small sauce and it's not dry.
hope you will enjoy inchAllah

assalamou aleikoum wa rahmatoullah wa barakatou

well, I always forgot about this recipe. But I have made it tonight and Mashallah, an instant hit, even with my fussy eaters kids!!!!!
What I did, as I do not have a ''chalumeau'' (blowtorch in english a-yellow-lemon looking for menus ideas 316DB6FXY6L._SL500_AA280_ I have first rinsed the chicken then i have burned the skin first on the large burner of my gas cooker, but did not wash a second time and carry on with the recipe as it was. I put plenty of ground black pepper (I ground it myself) and yummy. The beauty of this recipe is its simplicity but lovely taste.
Barakallahu feekee dear sis Oum Loubabah..

Esalaamu aleikoum,

My WOWer meal is usually a Lebanese family platter of Ghallaba on a bed of rice, salads, drips and some roasted/grilled meats or kebabs nicely placed on top.

I can give the recipe if you like.
