Easy Sesame Sticks
These sesame sticks are easy to make and great with a cup of or !
3 eggs
1 tbsp. of sugar (granulated)
1/2 cup of oil (vegetable or sunflower)
1 1/2 cups of flour (may need to add more if the dough is too sticky)
1/2 tsp. salt
Sesame Seeds (as many as need to cover each stick)
In a bowl beat the eggs until they are light (in colour) and thick. Add in the sugar and the oil. Beat the mixture well.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour and salt together.
1 tablespoon at a time, add the flour and salt mixture to the egg, sugar and oil mix. Do not stop mixing as you are adding the flour and salt mixture.
Take a small ball of dough and roll it into the shape of a 15 cm long stick. Roll in sesame seeds. Place the sticks on a pan lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees (180 Celsius) or until light to medium brown and crisp.
Remove from oven and let cool.
Get your cup of and enjoy.

Re: Easy Sesame Sticks
for this nice recipe, i made it yesterday and it was really easy,
but i suggest to roll the sticks in an eggyolk/egg before rolling in the sesamseeds because they do not stick at all when you take them from the oven .
I added slightly more salt than you said and this was too much, so sisters don't add more salt than in the recipe!
I wonder if it would be a good idea to add some plain yoghurt to the dough to have sticks that are a little bit less dry?
Another idea i want to try the next time inchAllah is to roll the sticks in other seeds too like sunflower etc...
And for finishing: this is an ideal recipe for mums who want to keep their little ones busy: they can do the job of rolling the sticks!

Wa feki barak Allaah. I am happy that you enjoyed trying them. I think the idea of rolling them in egg is good. While I didn't have the problem of them all falling off, you do end up with a lot of them on the baking sheet when they finish cooking.
For adding yogurt: I will have to let one of our more experienced cooks comment on this insha'Allaah Perhaps sis Aisha might know.
