Healthy Fresh Apple milk-shake (Haleeb bi Tuffaah)
This is a reaaly good health drink for breakfasts and iftars. We usually prepare this to have with the dates at iftar.
Ingredients:
3-4 eating-apples peeled, cored and quartered.(leave skin on if you prefer but the texture will not be as smooth)
Fresh pasteurised/long-life milk
honey or sugar to taste.
Put all ingredients into a blender/liquidiser - enough milk to reach approx 1 litre mark (do not fill to max as the mixture will overflow).
Blend until the apple has liquidised and add a little more milk up to the 1.5 litre mark and stir
Prepare just before serving as if left too long the apple will start to brown and so will not look as appetising.
