Basic beef in rice.

As salaamu alay kum wa rahamatula sisters,

I made this for dinner last night I make a lot so it lasts for 2 of 3 days it gose nice with a simple salad on the side.

3 tbls of oil
5 small onions or 1 large one
9 to 10 big chunks of beef with bone
3 tsp of black pepper (or less if you don't like much spice)

Put oil in a large rice/soup pot and heat up till hot and then add the chopped onion, beef chunks and black pepper. Keep on low heat about the forth notch on the stove for 1 hour covered and stir ever few minutes.

Add 4 cups of water and 4 cups of milk to the pot and turn to medium high and bring to a boil. Add 1 1/2 tbls of salt and stir then add 4 cups of washed rice. The method of adding the rice is add half of it and push it down don't stir it then add the rest and push it all down and don't sir it. bring back to a boil and let it cook until you see a little liquid left on top and bubbles. Then turn down to the third notch on your stove if it is really strong then turn to the seconed notch. Cook for 1 more hour then serve with a side salad.
